Brick
Had a good running groove at the end of last quarter, and I don't want to let it go. Today, I was missing the pool. So, I opted for a semi-brick workout:
500 yds: 200 free, 100 breast, 50 kick (dolphin & flutter), 50 fly, 100 free
1.5 mi run
The swim felt great. Although, I really felt the burn in my pecs for the butterfly--it was more like a butterslug. The run was terrible. I cramped early in the run, and it would not go away. I attribute it to dehydration, but it's probably that coupled with I'm a slug. At least I know what kind of work I need to do before the 5k on 22 April. Katie and I are going to do 4-6 mile beach runs on Thursday mornings. I'm looking forward to it!
