1. I have climbed the

8. I rode in an F-15C fighter jet. I puked in my mask once we leveled out for touch-and-go’s. I never had so much fun nor felt so sick.
9. I have never been drunk.
10. I have never smoked.
11. I played the violin for 7 years. I hated it.
12. I began playing piano at age 5.
13. I taught myself to play the guitar when I was 20.
14. Guitar is the only instrument where I can play and sing simultaneously.
15. I read I Kissed Dating Goodbye by Joshua Harris before I was engaged. My husband also read that book.
16. We never dated each other before our engagement. We went straight from being friends to becoming engaged.
17. We were married 4 months later.
18. I never finished Kindergarten.
19. My grandparents pulled me out at winter break and took me on a cross-country road trip to see historical landmarks.

21. I’ve been to Mount Rushmore, the Space Needle, Hollywood, the Empire State building, Times Square, the Grand Canyon, traveled on the cog-railway up Pike’s Peak, the Red Wood forest, Sequoia national park, Glacier national park, and all the 8th grade field-trip hot spots in Washington D.C.
22. So far, I’ve traveled to 11 countries in 3 continents.
23. I’ve moved at least 30 times in my life.
24. Next to The Lord of the Rings, my favorite movie trilogy is Back to the Future.
25. I never had a cavity until I turned 19. Moving away for college and not receiving dental check-ups will do that to ya.
26. I have worked out with kettlebells for CrossFit workouts.
27. But, my favorite workouts are swimming, running, and martial arts.
28. I’m a chocolate snob. Love it, but it’s gotta be good stuff from
29. I love to cook tasty food from scratch.
30. My favorite homemade Italian dishes are eggplant or chicken parmesean.
31. I also love sushi and sashimi, especially yellowfin tuna.
32. I can sew (sorta); I’ve made curtains, table runners, and simple dresses.
33. I enjoy the camaraderie of runners and triathletes in the local race circuit.
34. Twice, I have read through the entire Bible sequentially (working on my third time).
35. Chiropractic has changed my health, mental attitude, and lifestyle for the better!
36. God has changed my life eternally; now I have a lifetime left of sanctification after being chosen through His covenant of grace.
37. My great-great-grandmother moved to the west on a stagecoach. I still have her stagecoach travel trunk.
38. When I was a kid, I rode horses at my grandparents “ranch” every summer. Unfortunately, I’m allergic to horse dander.
39. My grandmother would make me wear gloves and take a benedryl (anti-histamine) before I’d go riding. The meds made me sleepy, which isn’t the safest thing to do when galloping over steep hills.
40. I went pitch-tent camping and hiking for the first time ever on my honeymoon. It was fun, but I didn’t appreciate the nettles that scathed my legs on the uncleared trail nor the cold, hard ground on a few sites.
41. Needless to say, we cut the trip a day short after we both missed the comforts of civilized life (hot showers and pillows).
42. I still own the same and only car I’ve ever purchased. It’s 11 years old and still runs without any problems.
43. I started 2 new clubs in grad school. I belong to a class (073) that has a reputation for trailblazing new clubs to make the school a better place. I am honored to work with some of the finest student leaders in the profession.

45. When I was 2 years old, I fell in my grandparents 8’ deep fish pond and couldn’t climb out of the slippery, moss-covered sides.
46. My grandmother was cleaning the pond and she fished me out. I drank so much pond water that it came out the other end as soon as they got me to a bathtub to get cleaned up.
47. I marched in President George W. Bush’s inauguration parade for his second term as Governor of Texas. At the parade, I stood across the street from former President George H. Bush.

49. I’ve been on a TV reality show. It only aired for 2 episodes before it was canceled. The series was called AFP: American Fighter Pilot.
50. I went to college when I was 16. I was still in high school at the
51. I didn’t go to outdoor summer camps like other kids, I went to summer math and science camps, took college courses, or orchestra camps & tours. Part of that was because I was interested in those things and driven toward academic excellence, the other part is that those were the only opportunities to which I was exposed. (GEEK!)
52. I was published in a scientific journal at age 17. I earned my own research funding while working in a research lab of a large hospital.
53. The study determined the effectiveness of Breathe Right nasal strips. In exchange for our study results, Breathe Right offered me and my mentor professor a free trip to the Super Bowl where we could meet Jerry Rice.
54. At 17, I was pretty stoked at this offer, but my professor gave me an adamant “no”. Then, he explained the integrity of scientific studies without the nice dangling carrots to influence results. I was bummed for a little while, but I never forgot what he taught me.
55. I realized how hopeless and desolate my life was in high school when I earned a slew of awards and scholarships. I knew that the next day, no one would remember nor care what I earned and achieved the day before. I needed something bigger than my drive for academic excellence to provide meaning to my life.
56. That was a significant moment when God quickly drew me into a relationship with Himself. Less than 6 months later, I professed my faith in Jesus Christ.
57. My husband dove into a spring to fetch my engagement ring as part of the whole proposal presentation. Then, he got down on 1 knee and sang “If You Could See What I See”.

63. In all the accidents, I was hit by men: either teenagers or men in their 20s. That would explain high auto-insurance rates for that population sector.

66. While living in tornado alley, we had near-miss tornados every storm season; several occurred less than 2 miles from our house. Just down the street, a giant trampoline ended up on a neighbor’s car.

76. One of the most embarrassing things that happened to me as a kid was when I went to a church service en espanol when I was in 1st or 2nd grade. I was bored since I didn’t understand most of the service, so I went to the bathroom.
77. When I came out, everyone was staring and smiling at me. I thought it was because everyone thought I looked so cute in my nice dress. When I sat down, my friend told me they were laughing because the back of my dress was tucked into my stockings giving plain view to my rear end.

80. Most memorable moment of losing a baby tooth: crashing my powder pink bike when attempting to do a pop-wheelie.

83. Daily habits that keep my immune system primed at optimal levels: drink green or oolong tea with ginger root, take my multi-vitamins, drink 1 gallon of water, get 7 hours of sleep, spinal exercises and rehab, & read my Bible in the morning.
84. One of the stupidest things I did on the playground as a kid: accepted a dare to keep my foot on a red ant pile for a count of “10”. I was smarter than the guy who got stung, I kept my foot over the pile, and never really made contact. Kids do stupid things on dirt playgrounds in poor small towns in
85. I grew up in a town population 3,010.
86. But, I moved to a suburb of
87. That year, I got into 2 fist fights, both of which were started by other kids shoving me. My nose was broken and I suffered a mild concussion.
88. My senior year of college, most of my courses required research papers instead of exams. I’d stay up until 5 in the morning buzzed on caffeine. I did my best proofing on the papers on no sleep, where the words started to blur together.
89. I’d get my papers back a few weeks later and realize how many grammatical or flow errors I’d committed. Never again will I pull an all-nighter!!
90. I don’t have a favorite color. I like ‘em all except tan which is an ugly, terrible color that shouldn’t be allowed as paint for vehicles. My color preferences tend toward blues or reds and oranges.
91. I’ve only snow skied about 4 times in my life. On my 2nd or 3rd trip, my cousins asked me to hang out with them on the double black diamond run on
92. So, I took to flight, and realized I needed to know how to land. I bent my knees and hoped for the best. I remember a whirlwind of snow and tumbling around. Then, it was followed by extreme throbbing pain in my left shoulder. It hurt so bad I couldn’t stand up for at least 10 minutes.
93. I tore my rotator cuff from that nasty fall and I had to rehab it FAST so that I could pass the physical fitness test for R.O.T.C. and still earn my commission in time for graduation.
94. I healed . . . sorta . . . to this day I have hypermobile shoulder issues. I’m staying away from the black diamonds next time I ski!
95. I can type 10 times faster than I can write by hand.
96. Primarily, I’m a kinesthetic learner, followed closely by visual.
97. When I adjust people’s spines, I remember what their backs and necks feel like even when I’m not touching them.
98. I can also remember which techniques work best on which patients; everyone’s spine is different!
99. Least favorite household chore: washing dishes by hand
100. If I wasn’t going to be a chiropractor, then I’d be a gourmet chef.
