Italian Night at Josh's

Another post about food. One of my favorite things. Last night we had excellent food, great fellowship, and fun conversation. What more could you ask for in an evening among friends? It's amazing how God uses friendships to make us more complete and fulfilled. Friendships can't fill us up the way only God can, but they are a blessing and a glimpse into the variety of gifts and character of the creator.

The Menu
  • Homemade chicken parmesean with homemade marinara sauce
  • Tossed salad with romaine lettuce, honey-roasted soybeans, carrots, & tomatoes garnished with parmesean cheese
  • Grilled asparagus with sea salt and olive oil
  • Chianti
  • Breyer's ice cream (vanilla, mint chocolate chip, or peanut butter-choco-fudge swirl)--garnish with toasted cocoanut optional
The food was divine (thanks to the kitchen full of chefs), and we had a good time laughing it up. Jason passed on the ice cream, and chose to go home for his late night snack favorite: hot dogs. To each, his own.

How can an evening among friends be complete without a few quotables from Napoleon Dynamite? I just can't believe Chris actually saw it in the theater 3 times. Got a few movie referrals that we'll have to try out. Josh insists on Equilibrium. While Jason and Allycia suggested Punch Drunk Love with Adam Sandler. So, we'll have to give 'em a try.
